JANUARY 13, 2010 GREEN ACRES IS THE PLACE FOR ME!

JANUARY 13, 2010
GREEN ACRES
IS THE PLACE FOR ME!
Riddle me this question with your wisdom that I value greatly O'Friends of Lockerridge.... What do the above picture, the move I reported to you all that I was making, fear, and finally realizing your limitations have in common?
If you guessed that I found out that I am a hillbilly deluxe and a fraidy cat.. your 100% correct... grab your prize at the door when you leave this poor pitiful creature to her own voyage of self discovery and ultimate realization that I am not superwoman.. I was raised on a rocky top, learned how to live life with a certain set of values and expectations, and if your somewhere  that same set of values and safety are totally nonexistent, and if you can't cut the skyscrapers, and the drug addicts living in cardboard boxes, the out and out dishonesty of business in the area, and the violence and basic paranoid fear of the place and people... you don't have to!!
This woman found out that no matter the job or the need to get a new surroundings.. there is no place like home! I relate big time to Dorothy and ToTo. Not all that glitters is gold folks!
This blog is going to be a lot shorter than the last one... because I still haven't completely figured out what caused me to grab my phone and call the Tyson plant, after a tour of the entire city trying to find an apartment that had been advertised as what they actually expected from a potential renter, and finding the only thing left to me to be able to rent and afford was not where I want to be at all! This was supposed to be an exciting and new adventure for me in my life of dull everyday misery..
NOT IN THIS TOWN IT WAS NOT GOING TO BE!!
Sometimes I think maybe I must be doing something wrong when I trust people to actually be telling me the truth most of the time. I feel really dumb right about now.. but I am home, I am warm, I have food, I have no need to lock my doors during the daytime, and I never lock my car.. sometimes even forget and leave the keys in it .. for days at a time. No one has ever treated me the way I was in such a short period of time yesterday! When I went to LR initially it was raining cats and dogs the entire time. Yesterday it wasn't .. as since it had been a while of really cold temps.. the uglies of the entire city came out in force since it was a nice day. The fact that they recommended pepper spray or a stun gun be held in my hand on my way out of the plant to the 8 ft. tall barbed wire on top compound they call a parking lot.. The fact that I would be leaving work somewhere around 4 a.m.... and the security gated apartment complexes, who advertise one thing and when you actually arrive to tour what they have to offer.. would require somewhere in the neighborhood of 2000 dollars just to move in and then pay over 200 dollars more a month than they advertised unless you signed a 2 year lease with them... was the real big bringer of the thought of SCREW THIS! to the forefront of my mind.
Add to that the environment that the apartments I could afford had surrounding them... no one in their right mind WANTS to be panhandled everyday to just get to their car... if the car still is there and not in a chop shop somewhere... and your friendly ridge top hillbilly from Arkansas.. just could not see a bright future for herself there at all!
So Lockie came home.. and she is going to stay right here and make it work out for herself, instead of running away from my problems, and then if I find something maybe in the town my son is already living in.. I might go for it.. but if not.. then.. right here is where I am staying!!!
I forgot one important rule of life ... home is the place you go to get better acquainted with yourself when your faced with a major upheaval in your life. It is where I am supposed to learn how to regroup and rest ... to pull on the resources of safety and comfort afforded by familiar things and faces.
To reaffirm to me that I was not being a chicken sh*t and that what I had done was the right thing for me.. I was about 20 miles from home and I happened to look on the east bound side of the interstate as I was driving west bound.. and low and behold who do you think was waving and flashing his lights at me?
Good ole Homer...
yeah.. my cell phone started to ring and he wanted to know how it went.. so I told him.. and he breathed a sigh of relief and said.. " Always knew you were pretty smart, and you haven't changed any at all!"
Then he told me a dirty joke, and I laughed and it all melted away..
No... he isn't coming back ... but he hasn't abandoned me completely either.. and right now..  that is all I need to pick up the pieces and get strong by sticking it out. I already know it is the only way I will ever be ready to accept whatever God has in store for me in the future.

Hopefully it will be something I like!

Once again reporting from the home twenty... Lockie from Lockieland!

JANUARY 7, 2010...... I'M MOVIN' ON

JANUARY 7, 2010....
I'M MOVIN' ON
I promised I would post another blog about the good news I have received .. no let me rephrase that.. I have had a divine intervention good folks!
I have been looking for a job for the longest time and have not gotten even one little nibble to my applications ... until... to give you the long version of where I am at today as opposed to 4 months ago... get a cup of coffee and sit back... I am telling it all!

I am trained for the position of USDA HACCP Quality Assurance Inspector Level Two... sounds fancy huh? Wrong!
HACCP stands for Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point...  and this means at the level two position that I am responsible for every freaking thing that comes off the end of a line and gets put into the freezer to be sold to the public, to eat.
Metal detection, temperature, sanitation of food and line workers, wearing of safety equipment, the labels on the boxes and the weight of the boxes... how they stack them on the pallet, the quality of the product in alignment with the specifications set down by USDA and the customer in regards to product weight, length, thickness, and then the cooking of the product to make sure it gets done in the time allowed on cooking instructions to get thoroughly done, the uniform appearance of the product, and if they are reworking something.. and mixing it in with the product running down the line.. the date it was put in the freezer and if it is still good. and.... the strength and availability of the disinfectant used on everything.. air temperature must be controlled at no more than 45 degrees, maintenance carried out on the line in case of breakdown and the way they work on things to maintain sanitary conditions or they have to shut it down and wash everything down and then disinfect with me hanging over everything they do cause they got in trouble with me and I had to write them up..
Yeah.. I work my ass off... but it is the most worthwhile thing I think I ever did to earn money.. protecting the public from ptomaine poisoning is a pretty worthwhile task.
Okay now to explain what this has to do with anything.. anything at all.. I used to raise broiler chickens with my broiler houses contracted out to Tyson Foods. Then things went wacko crazy with my life and I had to quit doing that... and went back to public work.. needless to say.. I have had two jobs since shutting down my farm and the first one was in my hometown painting fishing lures.. loved it .. absolutely loved it!
Was like doing arts and crafts with a detail spray gun compared to what I had been doing for fourteen years being a chicken farmer!
This place had been in the town for over thirty years.. I went to work there and was happy as a clam and they closed that division of the plant after I had been there 2 and a half years, so onward I plodded toward the unemployment line and the amount of money I could draw would not feed my dogs let alone me!
This led to getting the QC job and I was there for around 2 years when I got pneumonia and that led to me being sick so badly all the time I finally quit and have not worked since.
Since I have the training, and that is about all I can lay claim to being professional.. when I started looking for a job recently, I checked on the Tyson website and sure enough there was a position open!
YEAH!....
hey wait a minute..
 in the Little Rock Plant...
ohhhhh.... nooooo...
200 miles from here!
I figured with my age being 51 and 7/8 the chances of me being called for an interview were slim to none.. Tyson pays its QC department very very well... and the benefits are too fantastic to believe coming from a chicken plant!
Imagine my surprise when a couple weeks later I got a call from the QC night supervisor to see if I wanted to interview for the position. I thought.. why the heck not.. might enjoy the drive since I have never gone by myself and always had so guy driving me. Have gone to a concert at Alltel Arena in the past and had grandmother in the UofA Research and Teaching hospital at one time.
The day we set up for me to go was raining.. I mean never let up kind of rain all the way down there and back! The interstate driving was not to bad till I hit Conway and the traffic backed up and I thought I was going to run my mustang up under a big truck for sure if something didn't give pretty quick.. thank goodness .. we came to an utter standstill .. on the interstate.. never had that happen before. They tell me it is a daily occurrence at rush hour no matter the weather.. Mental note.. DO NOT plan a trip to coincide with rush hour.. ever!
The good thing was that rush hour was over in Little Rock too ... thank goodness! Still yet I managed to get off on the wrong exit and ended up stopping at two liquor stores to get directions.. that second time it was hard not to just get a bottle of Boones Farm and let Mr. Boone take me away from it... but I didn't.
I found the plant rather easily after I just slowed down and called them to tell them I was a wee bit lost.. which got me a smile in the voice of the HR Manger.
I found I liked this fella quite a bit.. he took one look at me, got me a cold can of coke, and had me sit for a minute or two before he told me, there was no way I would stay down there if he hired me. Too far from home at my age to stay. I looked at him and grinned and said,"Well why don't you give me the opportunity to make you out a liar on that deal".
He grinned back.
The night supervisor had come down with the stomach virus that I rode out during Christmas, and I was given my entrance exam by the day supervisor and the Plant manager.
That was fun... NOT!
Before I left Mr. Fletcher called the other Tyson Plants closer to me and set up an email interview with them for me. I left out appreciative for the time they took with me and figured that would be the last I heard from them. I went home and emailed the other plants and got back the reply that they were all on budget cuts and downsizing instead of hiring, but that they would keep me in the files for a while.. umm humm..
Well a week or so went by and I was in my email and ran across one of the emails between Amanda and I and so I thought, "What the heck" and emailed her to ask what I had scored on the test and if the posit on was still open to put in my two cents worth of "PICK ME!"  I was amazed when she responded within an hour and said it would be after Christmas before they hired anyone and after the first of the year before they put them into the plant.. I replied.. "Sounds  Perfect!". She told me I aced the test and that to hold tight and she would get back to me one way or another by the following Tuesday.. after Christmas.
Imagine my surprise when on Monday evening Mr. Fletcher called and offered me the position!!
 YEEEHAAAWW! " I ACCEPT!"
Then panic began to set in...
I am moving to the states capitol.. with skyscrapers, and traffic, and roads that have more lanes than all the roads put together that I have been using for all these years. I won't know anyone there... I have to pack up all my important stuff and rent an apt., and...
 OMG!
I GOT THE JOB!!!
HOW IN THE HELLO DID THAT HAPPEN?
 DIVINE INTERVENTION...
ONLY THING THAT MAKES
ANY SENSE AT ALL!!
I saw the stack of resumes that were submitted to get that job.. and most of them from people younger, and certified which I am not.
The only thing that makes sense to me is God wants me there. This time I am not going to fight Him.. I am just getting it together and I am going!!
Have to be there on the 11th for a physical, so I have been apt shopping online, setting up some apts. to tour, and pick one that will not put me right in the middle of the gang related violence that happens down there.. but won't make me have to work 80 hours a week to pay for it.. not easy to do folks!
I start work on the 18th, so I am going to do my best to be in my place by Wednesday of next week.
This cold weather has hampered all efforts to do anything in the way of getting a storage unit, and getting things put out of sight till I can have an estate sale in the spring. sigh..
I hope this all works out... cause if it doesn't.. I am going to the UAE and live with my friend PD..
Oh!.. Gee... Seems I might have forgotten to tell him about that decision I made..
  LOL..!!
 Just teasing!
There is a slide show I created, to give me a send off.
The limited knowledge I have of this new software I got to produce SWF slide shows has me guessing more than doing things like they should be .. and I don't have the time to be the perfectionist I usually am with my stuff.. soooooo...

Rather than upload it to Multiply, I just uploaded it as a file attachment to this blog. When you click onto the link at the bottom of this blog, It will open up another tab in your browser and then you have to wait for it to download the slide show completely before it starts. No streaming media today!
The music will start first and when you see the pictures come up .. mouse over the bottom of the screen to find the on and off buttons. It is pretty long.. but I just went with what I thought meant something to me.. you may think I am a bit of a weirdo...
but then you would be absolutely right!
You see...

Today is the the first day of the rest of my life..
Bunny Hugs!

Okay I think I got this figured out with the slideshow.. I have no idea why some can see it and some can't.. but I have uploaded it to a hosting site .. only thing is they will not embed
it because it has its own player and they will have to convert it to something or another.. either way.. my sweet friends.. here is a download link that will download and open in your browser for you and you will get the entire full screen.. it will play the song twice so don't get to thinking your done when it stops the first time.. lol.. told you I was posting it all didn't I?

This will take you to the download page.

JANUARY 3, 2010 THE LOCKERRIDGE CHRISTMAS 2009... THE HURLING YEAR

JANUARY 3, 2010
THE LOCKERRIDGE
CHRISTMAS 2009
THE HURLING YEAR

I put instant coffee in a microwave and almost went back in time! ...
Well hello all of the friends of Lockie, who are not passed out from shock at actually seeing a blog posted from me! wink!
I have had a holiday.. well it was a day and it felt pretty holey.. not the worship kind though. I got that stomach virus that has been ravaging this entire country on Thursday evening.
Yeah you guessed it.. Lockie had water and soda crackers for Christmas dinner and my poor son had a Yankee pot roast in a microwave bag... poor kid.. he had an awful head cold to go along with my problem.. we were not a good looking pair I will have to say.. sigh..
That I was sick was not the worst of it though.. it was when I got sick the first time that really was the beginning to the end of a rotten couple of days.
I had waited until Christmas Eve to do my shopping for dinner on Christmas Day.. I do that every year and swear I will be more efficient next year.. and I never am..
I really need to stop lying to myself about that sort of thing ya know? I am always hopeful though!
Anyway.. I was feeling kind of queasy before I took off to the store.. but thought I just hadn't eaten in a while and would stop and get a snack. I got gas and a couple of chicken strips to help out both mine and the cars energy quotient. Ate one strip and kind of thought.. "That might have been a mistake" but drove on.
I pulled up to the ATM at the bank to get Jamie's gift money, he gets every year, and put the card in the slot.. told the machine I wanted some money.. put in my pin and then it hit me! Barely got the door open in time!
All this time the machine was whirling and making all those funky noises they make.. and then all of a sudden it was silent.. but I still was being really vocal.
After the siege was over, and I had emptied my stomach, to the entertainment of the people in the line at the drive through at McDonald's next door, I reached out to get my card and money.. but there wasn't anything in either slot.. WTF!
I finally got it together enough to read the words on the screen through the haze of tears in my eyes and it told me it had "timed out". I never heard of such a thing before.. but it was no use.. nothing I did made it give me my card or my money.. sigh.. short of jumping up and down on it.. what is a woman to do?
This woman put the car in Drive and after stopping twice on the side of the road.. finally made it home.. to my waste basket and pillow.. it was not your usual "Night Before Christmas" for sure!!
Jamie called me around 8pm to say he was off work and headed to my house after a couple of pit stops.. ( one to get me two bottles of Sprite and a box of crackers).. and would be there soon.
They were predicting snow in a small amount and really fast dropping temps.. so I told him it was still just raining at the house and he said it was there too.
At around 10pm I saw lights coming down the drive way.. they looked kind of blurry but I just figured it was gag reflex tears in my eyes again.. I opened the door and it was a blizzard out there!!! At least 3 inches of snow on the ground and the wind blowing like fury!
My sons eyes were dilated so bad he had to take his contacts out to see inside the house.. lol.. it is funny now.. but he had a hell of trip down the mountain that night for sure!
My puppy, Jackson's first Christmas was a real learning experience for him. Every time I had to hurl, he apparently thought something was trying to hurt me and decided he must attack it.. only the only thing to attack was his dry heaving owner...yes indeed he learned really quickly  ... "NOT A GOOD IDEA!"... was a philosophy to adopt.
Since Jamie didn't get his cash money, he was still happy with the check I wrote him, even though none of the clothes, except for a coat he got fit him... and the web site he bought for me is still not opening up to me to play with.. and instead of turkey and dressing.. he had a microwave pot roast in a sack.. while I really pigged out on a saltine and three sips of Sprite.. I will have to say...  lol... yep.. a real holey holiday for sure!
I have had some good news since then, but since I haven't had much of that to report lately... I am saving it for another blog tomorrow I hope if time gives me a breather to write it. Stay tuned.. it gets better .. well I am hopeful anyway!

NOVEMBER 17, 2009 SOMETHING REALLY SPECIAL FROM BURJ DUBAI THE BURJ DUBAI FOUNTAIN.. BEAUTIFUL AND BIG!

NOVEMBER 17, 2009
SOMETHING REALLY SPECIAL FROM BURJ DUBAI
THE BURJ DUBAI FOUNTAIN..
BEAUTIFUL AND BIG!
Hiddy Ho friends of lockerridge!
Just how is your hiddy and your ho doing these days?
Mine seems to be finally finding the sunshine that has been hidden behind the clouds for months.. not that I do not have those occasional partly cloudy to downright thunderstorm days still yet.. but hey.. I will be grateful for any break in the constant hurricane I had going on for a while.. with occasional violent tornado's and hail to boot!
I happened upon a wonderful thing on the site, Dark Roasted Blend, yesterday and thought it might be something to share with all of you.. I think it is just pretty great myself... without further adieu.. on with ....

The Marvelous Burj Dubai Fountain Show
 The Dubai Fountain
recently finished by the Burj Dubai
I am sure that when you hear the word Dubai in reference to anything you expect bigger and more flashy than anything you have ever seen.
Hence as expected, the world's tallest fountain is in Dubai, and as you would expect, it is installed next to the world's tallest building, which is also in Dubai. And as you would expect, it's as immense and awesome, as everything else  there.
It was built for $217 million by WET Design, which is the same company that created the one at the Bellagio Hotel, in Las Vegas.
As seen in the video the plumes of water can reach a height of 492 feet, (as tall as a 50 story building)  into the air.
The 900-foot long water show uses 6,600 lights, 50 colored projectors, and hundreds of servos, all computer controlled and synchronized with music to offer some very sophisticated water entertainment.
The musical piece is  "Time To Say Goodbye", performed by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman.
To really get the feel of the whole thing.. click onto the option to see it full screen.. it gives you a whole new sense of what WoW really means..
There are many more presentations featuring other music. If you want to see one that will make you think water is alive and can dance.. I recommend Shik Shak Shoc...

The link below takes you another site in the 360cities 3D Panoramic viewers of extraordinary things.
I love these sites with these little gizmos! I can stay for hours just playing and having a great time!
Try it out.. and remember.. it takes a bit of getting the hang of using the controls of the viewer.. and it might seem like it is nothing but something to make you dizzy and wish to wring my neck for sending you there... but give it a little time and practice and you will get hooked too!

NOVEMBER 5, 2009 I'M ALIVE AND WELL... TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE..

NOVEMBER 5, 2009
I'M ALIVE AND WELL...
TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY
OF THE REST OF MY LIFE..

Hello everyone...
Long time no type from Lockie huh? Well I have no excuse except I did not want to subject you guys to me whining and carrying on like a child over this stupid man who will not leave my heart alone, even though my head says to cut him out of my entire thinking or dreaming life. sigh.. the human condition is such that our own bodies make us war against ourselves.. emotions are truly something which can make you into a screaming, sobbing, mass of nerve endings, when common sense should override them and let us at least be able to function in daily life.. but nope.. especially women.. we have a hard row to hoe gentlemen so be nice to us .. or pay the hormonal imbalanced price!.. if you care that is..
Well I will be okay in the future or I won't.. that is what I have come to realize. I can't control another human being when they do not want to be, especially by being a complete and total doormat for them.. even after I find out another really nasty mean thing they did to me when I was dumb enough to believe I could trust them, I still do a meltdown.. I am a puddle.. a big and really gross puddle when I do that.. sigh.. sigh.. sigh.
He is not home... he is with an old girlfriend and I really wish to goodness that when her one and only husband of the many hundreds of men she has been with, divorced her.. he would have just shot her and a lot of misery would not have been spread around by this whore/huzzy... witch... I could go on.. but I bet you get the message. I mean he could have chosen someone else instead of my next door neighbors ex daughter in law you would think.. why just complicate my life a little bit.. he decided to just totally rip me up and down and never even looked backwards. I know I was a lot at fault.. but I have come to realize.. the actions that led up to this that I was acting out.. were a direct result of the actions he was taking with me. Hind sight is always 20/20 and I do not have that pair of glasses handy.. do any of you?
Well lets go onto a happier subject. Last Sunday was my sons 26th birthday and he wanted to go to the local winery's and go on their tasting tours and then to the best bar-b-que joint in the state so.. Mom said okay my treat load up the Lab Caddy (my son works for Lab Corp and has a company car he calls the Lab Caddy even though it is a PT Cruiser).. and away we went!
I do not drink very much at all.. and after we visited three wineries.. Mom, Jamie, and Cally were a little bit buzzed to say the least.. and I hate the taste of the stuff.. warm rotten fruit juice is my tasting report card.. but it was fun.. lots of fun! The bar-b-que place was closed by the time we finally made it back to Ozark from the top of St. Marys Mountain where they have a convent and some really spectacular views! It is in the slide show I got for you to see what I saw last Sunday.
Last thing is that Kenny Chesney and Dave Matthews have teamed up, old time rock and roll and country, to produce this duet that I simply adore. It is called I'm Alive.. posted a video and the lyrics.. just listen to the easy melody and the words and you will instantly feel calm and blessed
I'm Alive
Kenny Chesney
Featuring - Dave Matthews

So damn easy to say that life's so hard
Everybody's got their share of battle scars
As for me I'd like to thank my lucky stars that
I'm alive and well It'd be easy to add up all the pain
And all the dreams you've sat and watch go up in flames
Dwell on the wreckage as it smolders in the rain
 But not me... I'm alive
And today you know that's good enough for me
Breathing in and outs a blessing can't you see
Today's the first day of the rest of my life
 And I'm alive and well
 I'm alive and well
Stars are dancing' on the water here tonight
It's good for the soul when there's not a soul in sight
This motor's caught its wind and brought me back to life
 Now I'm alive and well
And today you know that's good enough for me
Breathing in and outs a blessing can't you see
Today's the first day of the rest of my life
 Now I'm alive and well
 Yeah I'm alive and well

Love to you all ..
Lockie the Single and Hormonal Bunny.

OCTOBER 12, 2009 SIMON'S CAT IN "FLY GUY"

OCTOBER 12, 2009
 SIMON'S CAT
IN
 "FLY GUY"

Howdy good friends of the mostly absent Lockie these days. I am still dealing with being single again ... still getting mixed signals from the estranged partner....
This guy has yet to get his clothes out of my house, and he has been gone 2 months!
He has 2 shirts,
2 pairs of pants, and 2 pair of socks.
He has to be wearing out a washing machine somewhere... cause every time I see him.. he is clean.. boring but clean!
Enough about the stupid stuff I am dealing with and onward to the funny of this blog..
I have always been a fan of Simon's Cat animated cartoons.
The genius who creates them knows how to portray the cat to remain true to a cats nature while adding just enough human to him to make me double over laughing.
So I am sharing with you my favorite..
 "Fly Guy"...
Go get some dry undies before you click play!

MEOW Y'all!

AUGUST 31, 2009 HELP FOR THE BROKEN HEARTED... ALL I NEEDED WAS MY FRIENDS...LIVE TO LOVE ANOTHER DAY...

AUGUST 31, 2009
HELP FOR THE BROKEN HEARTED...
ALL I NEEDED WAS MY FRIENDS...
LIVE TO LOVE ANOTHER DAY...

Howdy....

You know what it is like when you have a pimple come up on your face and you know it is going to hurt to get the pus out of the sore, and it is going to leave an ugly swollen lump right there where everyone can see it, and feel sorry for you?
This is the relating scenario that I attribute to this breakup of mine. I just felt so terribly terribly scared when he didn't come home.. when he would not take my calls.. when the only way I could find out he was okay was through his mother. I just couldn't stand the fear and yes pain of losing yet another partner.

I have been with this man for ten years. Ten years is a very long time, you know.

I just forgot the bad and only longed for the good times. I was not seeing what was really there if I could have stopped the emotional roller coaster that I was riding on, which is the product of the way he left me.
Without a word of any kind to what he was about to do and without any kind of communications at all afterward.
He sneaked two changes of clothes out of the house, and as far as I can tell that is all he took with him.
The feelings he was with another woman sure didn't help either! I still do not know where he is... I have not heard from him. I have left several messages on his phone, but he just has not responded except once, and he lied to me then.
He told me he would come to visit me on Friday and would call to say when, sometime during the day. He never did either of those things.. and yes it really hit me hard.
He lied ... if he could do this easily as he did it then.. wonder how many times he has lied to me about other things.
I may be totally wrong about this but .. I am at a point that when he didn't call me back after I called and told him his horse had kicked me, I sure would have wanted to know if he was okay if something like that happened to him..
but I guess he just doesn't care or believe me... he will when he comes back to pick her up and she has been sold.
They come to pick her up Thursday. I refuse to be afraid to walk in my pasture if I want to, because of someone elses horse!

I suppose the point I am trying to make is that I have finally stopped and let my friends here who live close to me, and those here on the net who seem even closer in come ways talk to me and it sink in...
Dani, JL, OJ, and all the rest of you are wonderful.. wonderful.. supportive and love me dearly..
yet it took the comments from the oldest of my friends here on the net to jerk me around and look at what was really happening..

My friend Pradeep Nair.. or PD to me and all those he loves.. spoke volumes to me in these two comments.. I love you too Pd!

PD COMMENT ON THE FIRST BLOG

I don't know what to write or how to console you I am not good at it but sure understands your condition and my mind is with you though in an up-set condition right now as you are not supposed to go through such scenarios; knowing you since years and sharing everything with me.

Can see that you are ready to sell the home to please and make him be with you (though it not something recommendable),
what else a lady can do more than this and he still….!!
Any relationship that broken can be related to crack on the glass you may able to patch it up but a total repairing isn’t possible, that’s the truth we need to face.
Hopes and prays for betterment Lockie
Love you

PD COMMENT ON THE LAST BLOG

The last two lines of the song well states your mind Lockie. Menopause is a natural process for which someone getting blamed is not acceptable, I wish and prays that the HRT will bring some happiness in your relation,

Lockie I can see that you are literally ready to do anything to keep the relation especially on the comment you wrote to Dani ready gave up this much and homer do not care!!,

and as Dani said you are taking the blame if you feel that it would help itz fine.
Love you Lockie

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You are so right my friend.. I would have given him anything.. I mean anything at all to come back. Yet he chose to leave me crying and drove away to not call or even check on me through our friends.. he is not worthy of my generosity or my time any longer .. it hurts a lot.. but it is truth.. and you spoke it with love and caring of me.. and I saw through to the reality of my life.
Your magic my friend.. pure magic!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I found my blog theme song with my favorite entertainer.. yep.. Keith Urban!!
I will live to love another day!
One day he is gona regret leaving me this way! I will get back up again..
it may take a lot of time..

Keith Urban .... Live To Love Another Day

Lord I fell for her smile
And she loved me for a while
Then she said good-bye gotta go
Left me standing on the side of the road
Now she's gone and I'm a memory in her past
And the long and short of it some things never last

  (Chorus:)
Oh because summers come, summers go
I'll keep walking down this road
It's alright and it's okay
I'll live to love another day
I'll live to love another day

Lord I'm out here again
With my back to the wind
The warm sun that's sinking low
Is gonna leave me out in the cold
But the long and short of it some things never last
And if that goes for the good
It must go for the bad

  Chorus
Oh because summers come, summers go
I'll keep walking down this road
It's alright and it's okay
I'll live to love another day
I'll live to love another day

  If I fall down
I'm not ashamed
I always get back up again
But I'll be fine 'till the right one comes to save me, save me, save me

Lord I fell for her smile
And she loved me for a while
And someday she's gonna wish
She hadn't left me here like this

  Chorus
Oh because summers come, summers go
I'll keep walking down this road
It's alright and it's okay
I'll live to love another day
I'll live to love another day

I'll live to love another day
I'll live to love another day

I'll live to love another day

AUGUST 29, 2009 MORE ABOUT THE MATTER WITH LOCKIES HEART DAY TWO..

AUGUST 29, 2009   MORE ABOUT THE MATTER WITH LOCKIES HEART   DAY TWO... EVERYTHING I OWN..

DAY TWO OF THE BROKEN LOCKIE HEARTED...
Well I have been blessed with the knowledge, that your friend Lockie, is well into full fledged double time menopause.
I have to go back on the ninth and get the results of the blood workup, and then he will write out the first in the trial and error of finding HRT to give me enough hormones, to not be a crazy lune. I have been so totally against using HRT for any reason... that this feels so like I am betraying my own trust and values. But if it can keep me in my relationship with Homer.. I will try anything.. I have not had the opportunity to explain what is making me such a mood shifting creature from the Black Lagoon for the past year. I hope he does what he does so well.. just sigh.. give me a hug and a kiss and tell me.. "Well I knew something was wrong with you but you just couldn't see it when I said something.. you just didn't want me in the same air space as you... I ain't going anywhere .. "
Let us pray folks.. let us pray..
This song is about Homer/Gary/PoorSmuck...

Everything Thing I Own
   by the group Bread
   1984
You sheltered me from harm.Kept me warm, kept me warm You gave my life to me Set me free, Set me free The finest years I ever knew were all the years I had with you
I would give anything I own,Give up my life, my heart, my home.I would give everything I own, just to have you back again.
You taught me how to love,What it's of, what it's of.You never said too much, but still you showed the way,and I knew from watching you.Nobody else could ever know the part of me that can't let go.
I would give anything I own,Give up my life, my heart, my home.I would give everything I own Just to have you back again.
Is there someone you know, you're loving them so,but taking them all for granted. You may lose them one day, someone takes them away, and they don't hear the words you long to say
I would give anything I own,Give up my life, my heart, my home.I would give everything I own Just to have you back again.Just to touch you once again

AUGUST 28, 2009 IT'S TIME TO GET DOWN TO THE HEART OF THE MATTER..

AUGUST 28, 2009
  IT'S TIME TO GET DOWN
TO THE HEART OF THE MATTER...

Your friend Lockie has been going through a time of transition.
One that has not been kind to my emotional or mental well being in fact.
It seems as though the era of Lockie and Homer has come to an end.

At least according to Homer he has had enough of my being ... umm... what he has turned me into!
Yeah I made a joke.. but this is truly one of the hardest things I have had to face in a long time.
Another turning point.. another page torn out and rewritten again in my lifetime.

It would seem I am once again facing a new beginning in the middle of the old beginnings ending.
I have always been able to find a song to express my deepest hearts torment and this time is no different.

When I am able to find the words to my life story, in another persons poetry of their sorrow or joy.. it gives me courage to know I am not the first nor will I be the last to face these same problems, and walk on through them.

Always hopefully to a better day,  in Gods' Perfect Plan.

Without kicking up too big a fuss anyway..

The major problem right now is Homer can't seem to make a full commitment to either going, or staying and trying to figure out the problem..

and I just can't handle this kind of torment any longer..

so this is for my Gary from your Terri..

I do love you.. and you love me..

maybe it is all about ..
forgiveness ..
even if we don't love each other any more..

 or if we do..

it is all about forgiveness..

It's Time To Get Down To The Heart of The Matter
Don Henley

I got the call today
That I didn't wanna hear
But I knew that it would come
An old, true friend of ours was talking on the phone
She said you'd found someone

And I thought of all the bad luck,
And the struggles we went through
And how I lost me and you lost you

What are these voices outside loves open door
Make us throw off our contentment
And beg for something more?

I'm learning to live without you now
 But I miss you sometimes

The more I know, the less I understand
All the things I thought I knew, I'm learning again

I've been trying to get down
To the heart of the matter
 But my will gets weak
And my thoughts seem to scatter

But I think its about forgiveness
Forgiveness

Even if, even if you don't love me anymore

These times are so uncertain
There's a yearning undefined
 And people filled with rage
We all need a little tenderness
How can love survive in such a graceless age?

The trust and self-assurance that lead to happiness
They're the very things - we kill I guess
 Pride and competition
 Cannot fill these empty arms
And the work I put between us
You know it doesn't keep me warm

I'm learning to live without you now
But I miss you, baby

And the more I know, the less I understand
All the things I thought Id figured out have to learn again

Ive been trying to get down
To the heart of the matter
 But everything changes
And my friends seem to scatter

But I think its about forgiveness
Forgiveness

Even if, even if you don't love me anymore

There are people in your life who've come and gone
They let you down you know they hurt your pride
You better put it all behind you baby; life goes on
You keep carrying that anger; it'll eat you up inside, baby

Ive been trying to get down
To the heart of the matter
But my will gets weak
And my thought seem to scatter

But I think its about forgiveness
Forgiveness

Even if, even if you don't love me

Ive been trying to get down
To the heart of the matter
Because the flesh will get weak
 And the ashes will scatter

So I'm thinking about forgiveness
Forgiveness

Even if, even if you don't love me

Forgiveness
 Forgiveness - baby
Forgiveness
Forgiveness
Forgiveness

Forgiveness

Even if, you don't love me anymore

Project Mgen - Multiply CSS Generator

http://www.projectmgen.com/
One of Multiply’s disadvantages rests mainly on its inherent difficulty of producing customized themes for its millions of users. So a couple of college students decided to try to build a CSS theme generator for the Multiply site.. and they have succeeded brilliantly!

MGEN is the perfect web design tool that allows you to create an awesome theme in only a matter of minutes! Along with its user-friendly interface (no need to learn the basics of HTML or CSS), live preview feature (enables you to quickly view the changes you make on your design), and option for pros to manually edit CSS (gives advanced users the freedom to tweak their codes), Mgen boasts of its high functionality and efficiency that would definitely be enjoyed by all kinds of Multiply users. This powerful tool can maximize one’s capacity in theme designing and can also perform as a basic study tool for beginners who want to learn CSS editing.

AUGUST 7, 2009 HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO HAVE A CAR LIKE GEORGE JETSON? NOW YOU CAN!

AUGUST 7, 2009
HAVE YOU EVER WANTED A CAR LIKE GEORGE JETSONS?
NOW YOU CAN!
TERRAFUGA "THE FLYING CAR"

My wonderful Aunt J has sent me another wonderful and informative email that I wanted to share with you all in a little bit more splashy way than just an email forward..

When I was a kid I loved the cartoon The Jetsons. Their car was the one thing I always wished for and would day dream about flying through the air instead of driving, but without all the airstrip landings and FCC rules.

They are well on their way to making my dreams come true!

The Terrafugia.. . "Terrafugia" is Latin for "escape from land," is the first "Transition" car to be considered for mass production of its kind.
I have copy pasted a bit of the information I found at the website.. and they have a video that I have posted also.. here is the link to the website to find all the detailed stuff I didn't put into this blog..
TERRAFUGIA

cause lots of us are not interested in the fine tuned details of the thing.. we just want to fly!

I think it is just simply..

"WAY COOL!"

News Releases June 3rd, 2009“FLYING CAR” SOARS THROUGH FLIGHT TESTINGTransition® Roadable Aircraft Moves on to Next Stage of DevelopmentWoburn, MA –
 June 3, 2009:

Terrafugia, Inc. has successfully completed the flight testing program designed for its Transition® Roadable Aircraft Proof of Concept.

Having been dubbed “The Flying Car”, the Transition® completed its historic first flight on March 5, 2009 with 27 additional flights completed over the next several weeks.

Terrafugia (ter-ra-FOO-gee-ah), based in Woburn, MA, is comprised of a team of award-winning engineers who have been advancing the state of personal aircraft since 2006.
Founded by five pilots who are graduates of MIT and supported by a world-class network of advisers and private investors, Terrafugia’s mission is the innovative expansion of personal mobility.
Categorized as a Light Sport Aircraft, the Transition® requires a Sport Pilot certificate to fly.

It is a two-seat aircraft designed to take off and land at local airports and drive on any road.

Transforming from plane to car takes the pilot less than 30 seconds.
The Transition® will cruise up to 450 miles at over 115 mph, will drive at highway speeds on the road, and fits in a standard household garage.
The vehicle has front wheel drive on the road and a propeller for flight.
Both modes are powered by unleaded automotive gasoline.

By giving pilots a convenient ground transportation option, the Transition® reduces the cost, inconvenience, and weather sensitivity of personal aviation.

It also increases safety by incorporating automotive crash structures and allowing pilots to drive under bad weather.
The successful completion of flight-testing with the Proof of Concept concludes the first stage of a four stage process to bring the Transition® into production. Work is underway on Stage 2, the Beta Prototype. First delivery is expected in 2011.
Refundable airframe reservations are now being accepted.

JULY 11, 2009 PointlessSites.com.. THE BRINGING TOGETHER OF THE WORTHLESS AND OH SO MUCH FUN SITES ON THE WEB INTO ONE PLACE..

JULY 11, 2009   PointlessSites.com..
THE BRINGING TOGETHER
 OF THE WORTHLESS
AND
OH SO MUCH FUN SITES
 ON THE WEB
INTO ONE PLACE..

My friend Nica or Sanctuary Rose posted some links for us a while back to check out as some her favorites. I am always grateful for new input of any kind, so I bookmarked them and promptly forgot them. .. till today!
You have got to check out this really fantastic, coming together of links to .. as they put it on the site...
" Pointless playthings, tools and things to fiddle with... Tools and utilities for the things you didn't know you needed tools and utilities for."

PointlessSites.com

One thing that is really cool is the tool that lets you have the ability to get a html graph of any website..

That is what the picture is of up there.. lockerridge.com...
I love watching it grow.. I wish I could get the animation as it is growing the graph.. but no right click and no way to save it except as screen print or pdf file.. and we all know about pdf files don't we.. they are evil..

Give a click HERE  and copy/paste your url out of your browser address bar...

the site is owned by a guy who works at Stanford University and in lieu of asking for donations .. he has a short survey about the way people are handling the ongoing swine flu situation.
I filled it out.. took about 5 minutes and nothing personal at all was asked of me.. just my randomness was all I had to provide.. and I got to play with this java ap toy .. they give you the java ap for your very own to put on any website that allows java scripting.

Multiply of course does not, unless I figure out this thing where I can add pages with posting blogs.. but that is another blog for another day!

There is one guy who has a web cam set up to video his front lawn.. the site is called..
(what else)
Watching Grass Grow..
People have been watching the grass grow in his lawn .. updating every two seconds.. for almost 2 years now! lol

Here are a few of them I just have spent way to much time playing with recently..

1.Monk-e-mail - Send a free talking animated monkey email to your friends. Clever pointlessness. (lockie thought... I LOVE THIS ONE!)

2.  Hairy Mail - "The worlds first back hair messaging system"  (lockie thought... lol.. you write messages on a guys really hairy back and then email them to friends.. hahahahahaa)

3.  Stop alien abductions - How to make a "Thought Screen Helmet"  ( lockie thought... hahahahahahahahaaaaa!)

4. Story generator - Writes a useless story for you in 10 seconds..  ( lockie thought... yep.. totally useless. but oh so funny!)

5.  Upside down - Converter... ( lockie thought... A tool that generates your text upside down and backwards.. too cool!)

6.  Magic pen - Drawings come to life....  (lockie thought.. eh.. if you can draw.. but even if you can't.. it is still cool to work with!)

7.  Giant Microbes stuffed virus and plague toys.. H1N1 Swine flu is now available.. and they even have a different section for professionals.. that include .. TB.. HIV.. and lots more!
( lockie thought?... HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!!!!!!)

I am not going to post any more.. you guys check it for yourselves and see if I am right when I think this site is just too cool!

It has more than just this silly stuff. They have games of any type you would like to play.. They have math puzzles.. like the combination lock.. I still have not gotten that one figured out yet! Animations made by some real young amateurs, or maybe just young at heart... who knows..

I just wanted to give anyone, who didn't know this site existed.. a chance to spend some time doing some really pointless and cool fun things!

Lockie shares cause she loves all of you .. well maybe love is too strong a word for it when it gets right down to it.. but then again.. who knows when I might need the brownie points.. so yeah.. I love ya!

NO I am not evil.. I just sound that way.. a lot of the time... wink!

JUNE 30, 2009 HOW WE REACT TO SOME THINGS REALLY SURPRISES US AT TIMES...

JUNE 30, 2009
HOW WE REACT TO SOME THINGS REALLY SURPRISES US AT TIMES...

Recently, we have had a lot of famous people to pass away. Some because of the evil of a disease that seems to have no end to its appetite for human life. Some to just having lived a good long life and their bodies just wore out and they went on to get a new and better version in Glory. And then we have had some that came as a total surprise and that is the one that has taken me by surprise in my reaction to it.
If you have been on my contact list for any time at all.. you probably know that in my life I have faced up to a lot of loss of loved ones and am carrying on in spite of myself and the effects that can have on a person. I am by no means the same person I was only 10 years ago.. but whom among us is? No matter the circumstances. So when Michael Jackson died so suddenly last week... this coming on the heels of losing Farrah Fawcett, and Ed McMahon.. and Kung Fu Dude.. David Carridean.. it shouldn't have bothered me as much as it has.
You are listening to the one song this man has produced as an adult in a solo role... that I actually like to listen to ..( if you haven't turned it off because your sick to death of hearing about the guy)
I spoiled the songs he gave the world by watching him perform them.. and gotta say.. the guy turned me off totally with his stage presence. The grabbing of a crotch should be left in the bathroom or back alley and not on a world tour, in front of millions of young people who were allowed by their parents to be so dramatic and overcome with emotions about this guy that they would actually pass out from the thrills.. sigh..
I did learn to moon walk.. simply because it was too cool not to be able to do it!
I think I surprised myself most about my reaction to the man passing away in that I simply can't get it off my mind. I am the same age as he and I grew up listening to the Jackson Five and The Osmond's. Donnie Osmond is also the same age as Michael and I. I actually bought and still own the 45 record of Ben.
I remember spending the night with my Granny and we would watch.. some fella whose first name was Andy and his signature song was Moon River.. and he had the two singing groups on his show a lot.. I remember singing along with..
ABC.. Easy as 123.. Baby You and Me!
I loved the version of The Wizard of Oz that they came out with to be the "black" version of the classic movie .. Michael played the scarecrow and the song.. "Ease on Down the Road" was their answer to "Follow The Yellow Brick Road"... it was a fantastic movie.. and I loved it.. and never saw the reason for the need for the "black" version other than entertainment value. But I think it made a statement perhaps for them, and I applaud any kind of work that makes someone feel more at home in the world they live in.
I think that is what bothers me the most about the famous singer passing away so young. He never seemed able to handle his own life. He was a brilliant musician.. simply brilliant. He was just weirder than me I guess and that made him so... well weird! And the man was definitely weird you will have to admit! But it was an understandable weird. Seemed like everybody wanted a piece of him, but I don't think he ever really felt loved for just being himself by anyone.
I had a hard time making up my own mind about the child molester thing. The media just makes me so sick with their garbage they throw out at us and sadly most folks eat it up with a spoon. I don't believe a word of anything I read from the media anymore... They are causing wars and causing panic and pandering to the elite who can further their careers by making headlines by feeding them a big bowl of crapola for us to eat, while reading our morning papers. So I suppose I never did really decide if I believed it or not.. till now.
I have thought it over and went back and looked at the whole thing that was put out by the media .. and then I looked at the people who testified for the man. Then I looked at the ones who accused the man of deviance.
I don't think he did it.
Plain and simple I think he got shafted by society and its eagerness to believe anything ugly about someone in the lime light of life. Movie stars, Rock and Country Music Stars... I pray for those folks ... they have too much money, too much freedom, and too much adoration to not be affected by Hollywood and its party life.. the public are just nuts now.. they follow these people around and every scrap of dirt or information that comes out to the public they simply go nuts over it. Like they were these peoples next door neighbors or something. I understand the young people having idols and wishing they could have what the stars do... but when it runs into people in their 60's and 70's standing in line for days in zero weather to get Rolling Stones tickets.. folks that is just too far out on a cliff for me to think they are playing with a level playing field.. about a half a bubble off plumb is where I categorize these people!
I still have not figured out why I have had such a strong reaction to his death, other than I suppose I had to face my own mortality in the age bracket I am in. When I first found out that the music from my teens and twenties are now the Classics.. well that knocked me back a bit, but not like this has hit me. I know I have lived more life than I have left to live.. but for some reason I just never believed it I suppose ... I am getting older and older every day. The world is turning faster and faster with each passing moment and here we are in the middle of a economic melt down that has already cooled and is getting hard at the edges.. I will not have the end of life my folks got to have, but then I did not have the hard life they had when they first began their lives.
I feel most worry about our children. They have never had a day of real want in their lives. When I say want I am talking food, clothing, shelter, and security of knowing there are jobs out there if they want them. My folks grew up with nothing and built something. Now that is in danger ... and I and you all are in charge of it all.
What we manage to save and leave behind our kids will get and .. sigh... they will just never be able to understand how hard it was to get. I never understood the fear in my fathers life when it came to him having a job. Until I surfed around in google and found some really really honest photos of what the depression was like. I don't even want to think of living that life again... I don't know how.
Thanks for listening to me... I just felt the need to talk today... more than usual that is!
