A while back, it was requested of me to produce a LIKE button that is similar to the LIKE button on FB, for our blogs, here on Multiply,  
Since this request came from two of my most favorite people, 
Dani and Jaelle,
I have tried to comply, and there is no way I can write an html code to do this for us..
yeah.. Multiply is picky that way.
To get this to work on a web page.. the only way is to use some sort of java applet. and Multiply just doesn't allow a person that kind of freedom with their blogger.
I mean come on .. we don't ask much for our usage of their free account space.. do we?
You would think they would allow us to incorporate any of those tools out there for us.. and most of them are free.. right here on our blogs.
It just does not seem fair at all does it?
I mean, so what if a lot of them are simply back doors, to open up our sites to every kind of evil conceived by the sick minds of computer geniuses out there in cyberland! 
SUCK IT UP MULTIPLY!
WE NEED A LIKE BUTTON!

wink!!!.. Of course this brought about the lockerridge sense of ..
HUMMMM...
 The only solution I can bring about without having to be switched to at least one attachment.....
Which when I tried it....
literally defied my every attempt to make it a good thing..
It was truly evil, and I really don't think it a good idea
to go further with my explanation...
( jinx cooties are everywhere!!!!!)


What I did come up with..
Was fairly easy, once I stopped trying to make it into something difficult..
Just use the poll maker, already set up on our blogger here..
sigh....


I blame menopause and too many Little Debbie Carmel Cookie Bars for my mental blockages...
(caramel clogs mental pathways.. well known medical fact!)

The photo up there is of my best achievement in the department of growing and tending a seedling into a full grown tree.
 He isn't producing acorns yet.. but he is sure enough got what it takes to produce more than I ever could!
 If you have not guessed or known already.. this is my son..
Jamie Lee McCain. Born on Nov. 1 (All Saints Day) 1983.
He has taken a while to get there.. but he is on his way to getting the degree in Marine Biology Engineering that he has always wanted. The only problem with that is the fact that, to do this, he has to move eleven hours by car away from his Momma.. ME..
 sigh..
 I always knew he was never going to be content to simply be another number in a factory, or only connect with a few people he had known all his life. In other words.. my boy is moving to Knoxville, Tennessee, this Thursday the 5th of August, and I already miss him terribly!
When he was born, I was scared to death of him, and asked his father .. okay now I have got him on the outside.. what do we do now?
 His answer was simply" We grow this little sucker up"... and so we did.
 Now it is time for Momma to let go a little bit more.. but, I think maybe he is having a hard time a little bit too.
He is somebody I have come to repect and admire in his ability to see the big picture and pinpoint that section he wishes to enter and maybe change it a bit, or just sink into it and live life fully.
 And then ... this is the awesome portion of my son that he did not inherit from me..

He Actually Does It!
Yeah.. not all talk.. and a whole lot of walk.. he has courage and I suppose he has that a little bit cause he knows I am behind him in case he falls down.. not to scoop him up and make it all better.. nope!
I am allowed only to listen to him if needed and give advice if asked.. and hug a lot all the time!

Since he waited a while before starting to school in earnest, he has had to go back to Junior College and pick up some basics, and since UofA does not offer the classes he needs to get the degree he desires.. he had to transfer to a school that did.

He applied to and was accepted, so he will enter into the University of Tennessee in this fall semester, with all of the basics caught back up and add into the mix Calculus and Chemistry..

all A's my friends.. all A's!

Thank you Lord for Helping me out when I had to be both Mom and Dad when we lost his Dad. when he was at the tender age of fifteen.Wiithout that guidance, I don't know what I would have produced, but it sure wouldn't have been someone as wonderful as this young man is ..

Please pray for him ..
 he is trying so hard..
so please pray for my son..
he is worthy.

THE ANCIENT ART OF POOFING   The spinning lady up there is what is known as a bistable optical illusion.
Which, I don't know about y'all, but that means squat to me... What I get out of it, is that you can make her spin in different directions, clockwise or counterclockwise if you do a couple of things with either your mind or simply by covering up one eye to look at her, But for all us doubting Lockies out there in the real world..    there is the official type scientific explanation which is...

"The illusion, created by web designer Nobuyuki Kayahara, involves the apparent direction of motion of the figure. Some observers initially see the figure as spinning clockwise and some counterclockwise. If the foot touching the ground is perceived to be the left foot, the dancer appears to be spinning clockwise (if seen from above); if it is taken to be the right foot, then she appears to be spinning counterclockwise."

You just stare at her for a minute or until your eyes start to water and burn, and she will stop spinning clockwise and actually turn around and go counter clockwise. I can say this happened to me, when I gave it a try .. so.. perhaps they are not lying about it.. this time.. wink!
Now your thinking what in the world has this to do with the Poofing thing that got me over here in the first place... well it is just an illustration of the power of our minds over matter and I do not mean emotions this time. I am talking about real "magic" folks!
Now don't get nervous on me.. not witchcraft.. nothing dark or satanic about this.. this is.. well this is just fun!  I was sitting in a doctors waiting room, cause they were running late and therefore ruining my whole pick up schedule, so instead of getting strung out and kicking my foot against the chair leg, I picked up one of their magazines. It had an article on the power of our minds being so much more than anyone thinks they are. It commented that the reason we don't use our brains to their maximum is because we "think" we "can't" do anymore than just wish for things to happen. We are not actually directing our thought energy to bring it about. One can simply bring things into motion and create an action into existence by thinking it will.
Think I am nuts huh? Well, I don't hold it against ya.. everybody thinks that at first, till you try it.. and then you will be amazed by it!
This does not work on people, by the way.. so just get that thought out of your mind totally! You must not use this power for evil.. LOL!
Basically so far I have been able to control traffic lights to a degree that I almost never have to sit through a red light anymore!
 Yeah Baby.. that is some kind of wonderful right there!
In case you have forgotten, I make my living as a courier for LabCorp in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and there is at least a million traffic lights on my route.. well probably exaggerated that a bit.. but sometimes it sure feels that way. When you have to sit through one of those turn arrows to make a street change and you are in a line of traffic so long that you go through three cycles of the turn light before your turn comes up.. makes a person sympathetic to those who suffer from road rage and go postal on people.
But not for me anymore .. I have learned the art of Poofing!
 When I first have visual contact with a traffic light, I begin to "Poof! You will turn Green for me" thought pattern and it will change just as I start to slow down to stop,
like magic!
 I am not talking about just one light.. you know all traffic signals have different times they stay a certain color and they are all set differently. But this works on every one of them.. no matter what the timer is set on..
 Lockie goes when she gets there!
After I get this set on automatic in my brain to take over when it sees a light.. I am going to shoot for the moon and see if I can make the street clear when I need to pull out from a stop.. now that will be exceptional Poofing if I can get that working for me too!
Stay loose, stay cool, if nothing else is working for ya.. just Poof it!
