APRIL 17, 2008 SPRINGTIME IN ARKANSAS... SOMETIMES IT IS NOT FLOWERS..

APRIL 17, 2008 SPRINGTIME IN ARKANSAS... SOMETIMES IT IS NOT FLOWERS..
Edit.. I have changed my type of video file to DivX format.. you can download the player from the link below the player if you can't see a player or download link there.. you can click this icon and head in the right direction...
Some people can't see it in IE and have to use Firefox.. but at least the majority of you guys can see it now!
Since none of the bloggers I use except MySpace will let me place an object tag into the blogs, I guess you guys will have to put up with my auto start videos I make.
Remember if you can't see it .. you need Internet Explorer to see it. Firefox will not work nor Opera or any of the others like Netscape.
The following video is of a timeline and photo account of what Lockie Land endured on the 9th and 10th of April 2008.
Since it is already playing .. watch it and then I will talk some more.. hehehe.. you knew I would want to talk some more huh?

No video? Get the DivX Web Player for Windows or Mac
These are not my photos of any of the damage.. reason for this being.. when the tornado sirens started going off I was in the shower of all things.. Homer was watching a video and we had no idea that the storms were that severe.
He came sliding into the bathroom yelling, " Hurry up! I hear the sirens.. that means one is on the ground or is in the air over us.. and it is like daylight outside from the lightning!"
He is jerking on boots and yelling I am starting the truck .. hurry up we need to get down to the house and fast!
We are still living in the mobile home.. I am still just stuck in limbo about moving into my Mothers house .. sigh..
Lockie, while he is doing all, this has shampoo in her eyes and is certainly not in anyway clothed to go outside into the real life version of the movie "Twister"!
I turned off the water.. shoved myself into jeans and shirt .. forget shoes don't need 'em if you can't walk anymore..
grabbed my purse.. and then as an after thought I grabbed my always ready to go backpack, I take when I go to the woods looking for rocks and flowers and sticks and stuff.. ya know communing with mother nature kind of thing..
It has emergency stuff in it .. like bandaides and chapstick.. and if I could of gotten some bologna and bread in there I would have felt better.. had to settle for a 2 liter bottle of pepsi out of the fridge and an extra pack of cigarettes instead..
Well I grabbed my digital camera case too as I was throwing in my flashlight and took a quick zip at the zipper.. I thought..
Needless to say.. the next morning .. I found the camera in the driveway.. it was soaked.. and sigh.. we had run over it when returning to the mobile home.. it is no more.. double .. triple sigh sigh sigh.. damn.. loved that camera.. gotta get a new one.. bright side.. UPGRADE! hehehe
But I digress.. when we pulled into the car port of the house.. the hail hit. I mean just like it was raining raindrops.. and then the noise that came with it was deafening.. then the wind.. OMG! the wind.. we got into the house .. straight to the hallway and into the closet known from my childhood as " The Oh Shit!" closet and shut the door.. it roared and I could hear the window glass breaking in my old bedroom and the hail banging off the sliding glass doors that lead onto a porch that is 6 ft wide with a roof over it.. yeah.. the wind was so strong it was sending it sideways to the ground.. and the size of the hailstones.. Whoa.. scares me just remembering it.
One of the television channels was hit hard.. they were in the hallway at the station still reporting and this is a link to that video if you would like to watch it..

Springtime in Arkansas.. has never been so eventful in my memory EVER!
I thank God for keeping us safe.. but I have windows to replace and a roof I am not sure about yet.. and a 1999 Mustang that is just .. sad... sigh... it truly sucks pig puddle water that is green!
