MARCH 17, 2009 EVER WONDERED WHAT IS BENEATH A SCOTSMAN'S KILT.. WONDER NO LONGER!
TIS THE MONTH OF THE BLESSINGS OF THE IRISH UPON US ALL, IF NO LEPRECHAUNS ARE ABOUT TO STEAL OUR GOLD!
INSIDE THIS BLOG I HAVE DECLARED IT A LEPRECHAUN FREE ZONE.
. SO STAY A WHILE AND LISTEN TO THIS DITTY ABOUT WHAT LIES BENEATH A SCOTSMAN'S KILT..
(I know it is not Irish.. but all that was left at the "Get Irish Blog Songs Here" store was this one or a big bowl of Irish potato salad.. so live with it okay!)
IRISH BLESSING
Take time to work, It is the price of success.
Take time to think,It is the source of power.
Take time to play,It is the secret of perpetual youth.
Take time to read,It is the foundation of wisdom.
Take time to be friendly,It is the road to happiness.
Take time to love and be loved,It is the privilege of the gods
.Take time to share,Life is too short to be selfish.
Take time to laugh,Laughter is the music of the soul.
Aw did this embarrass you Sumax? I did not mean for it be anything other than amusing to the adults on my contact list.. if you were made to feel anything other than amused.. I am truly surprised by that! You have been reading my blogs long enough to know that I am never serious if at all possible.... I am at a loss as to why you feel this was rude in anyway...
LOL ... I didn't ... I was joshing with you. I guess I've been so busy lately and not playing around on the blogs the way I used to. Perhaps my playfulness sounded too serious. I hope when you read my comment again you'll see that the blushing bit was a joke.
Whew! Had me worried there for a minute pal! I just could not figure it out.. humm.. perhaps I was part to blame in my misunderstanding of your comment.. please forgive me for a bit of squirrelly imagination!
Well I am sure it is part of the reason.. but not all of it.. I mean I am a multifaceted human being with so much to offer... snicker.. had ya going there for a second didn't I?
Yeah I read it on your blog after I posted this.. it is a blessing with a whole lot of work involved on our part.. but that is the way most blessings come, true is it not? Happy St. Patricks Day Skye!
Oh, the Irish...wonderful blessing, T with two R's....Saw a bunch of men in kilts at the parade on Sunday.....Oh so tempting to pay back for all those times when girls had to wear dresses and the boys would lift up our skirts! I had my hand right there, ready to go....then I saw the look in his eyes...He'd like it way too much! lolxo
Whenever we have someone leave the chorus, they sing a version of your Irish blessing you have up there. I'm going to see if I can find a copy of it for you. Makes everyone cry.
Hope you had a good day. I worked, but it was fun to see everyone wearin' their green. And my cheerful leprechaun made all the kids laugh with his silly hat!
Which blessing is it your talking about.. the one on the graphic or the one in text at the end? I love the one in the graphic so very much.. it has always been a symbol of well wishes for anyone who has to go on down the road for a while.. and it affirms to them.. they will be missed and welcomed back with open arms
Yep.. big or little.. fat or skinny.. they all seem to control the male population.. and the reaction it causes in them.. well sometimes.. it just ain't real pretty ya know?
Not only nuts, but very rude with it! **Rushes off blushing profusely**
